Shelter Community Center

The nice folks at Maeken did a write up and shot photos of the Shelter Community Center Pop Up during Art Basel Hong Kong that i did graphics for. Started by Jason Lam in 2022, Shelter Athletics is a self-titled “social sports club, dedicated to building community and culture, by being active and giving back.”

Print Lab Residency Show

The Ecology Center is opening an art gallery space inside its historic farm house. They will be hanging the results of my recent Print Lab residency on the walls to kick things off. Come check out a show of all the prints we made using cut paper stencils on the farm in Oct. Prints will be for sale and all proceeds will go towards The Ecology Center.

New Louis Buhl Editions

Louis Buhl & Co. is pleased to present a new large-scale edition with artist Cody Hudson titled Sonic Landscape, Spatial Imagery and Emotion (Cloudbuster Redux). Hudson’s use of graphic lines and bright color inspire a story of longing and hope, while also finding context within contemporary abstract painting. The artist is interested in the elemental use of shape as a signifier, but goes further by allowing the forms to be direct extensions of the painting’s poetic content. 

For the project, Hudson presents 35 regular edition prints, alongside a handful of unique variants to which he employed hand-embellished collaged elements atop the foundation. In Sonic Landscape, Spatial Imagery and Emotion (Cloudbuster Redux), Hudson extracts elements from the natural world and reimagines them into simplified geometric shapes that work together to form a harmoniously expressive composition. Employing bold blocks of color, the works are mutually informed by Hudson’s external environments and his internal reflections. Complete with abstract figuration illuminating nature’s impact on the mind, Sonic Landscape, Spatial Imagery and Emotion (Cloudbuster Redux) captures the artist’s vacillating feelings throughout the prints’ period of creation.

DIRECTION | INSTRUCTION - STRAAT Museum, Amsterdam, Netherlands

STRAAT Gallery proudly presents ‘DIRECTION | INSTRUCTION’; a celebration of abstraction, alternative materials, composition, geometry and language as counterpoint expressions to the highly illustrative and representational work that identifies the global street art genre.

This marks the first instalment of this acclaimed group show in Europe, which features more than 25 contemporary artists from 11 different countries. The group includes such seminal design world heavyweights as Cody Hudson and Evan Hecox, as well as esteemed female artists such as former Juxtapoz cover artist, Mary Iverson, and muralist rockstars Anna Taratiel, Madi and Sandra Fettingis. Also included are several top-notch Dutch up-and-comers including Guido De Boer, Chinny Bond and machine painter Anti Goon. The exhibition catalogue will be available upon request. ‘DIRECTION | INSTRUCTION’ continues the gallery’s mission to highlight the diversity and prominence of global street art and mural culture.

In addition to the exhibition, several of the participating artists including Remi Rough, Bisco Smith, Anti Goon, Tony Van Amsterdam and Tomislav Topic will be adding large scale permanent works to STRAAT’s collection in the main hall.

To celebrate the You Are Beautiful sticker turning 20 this year, we've put together an exciting group show glowing with positivity & kindness in our gallery!

We’ve asked artists, designers, poets, & creatives to share their most inspiring kind words on the walls of our gallery. We couldn't be more honored to be sharing their work with you! (And we think you'll certainly want to take home a kind word or two). 

Additionally our studio & wood shop will be open to the public. We only do this once or twice a year, so take advantage of getting to take a peek behind the curtain & see where it's all made! (Heck, there might even be some machines running that you’ll be able to see in action ;)

And of course we'll be previewing our YAB holiday collection, which will be available in store, to get your gift sharing season underway!

Mini Galerie is delighted to be part of Eindhoven's Dutch Design Week, Northern Europe's biggest design event. Taking over Kelderman en Van Noort, an exhibition space in the north of the city, Presented By is an exhibition including three solo shows by Job Wouters, Line Busch and Jordy van den Nieuwendijk. Also on show are works by Liesbeth Piena, Cody Hudson, Jeroen Erosie, Louis Reith and B.D. Graft.
